Have you ever tried detox or infused water? Infused water works on the gastrointestinal system to rid it of toxins and other unpleasant substances that accumulate, which slow down the metabolic system, increase fatigue and weight gain and lead to various diseases. This 'fashion' is extremely popular in the West. A well-known singer said she lost weight after a 'master cleanse' consisting of lemon juice, cayenne pepper, maple syrup and water. More and more people are now adopting it by serving it on social gatherings and weddings. It can also be the best pick-me-up at the office too! Check our first recipe:

Ingredients for 4 servings:

5 cups of pure Veluda water

1/2 cup of sliced strawberries, fresh or frozen

5 large leaves of fresh basil

1 lemon, thinly sliced

1 cup crushed ice for serving


Mix all ingredients with clean water in a large pitcher and place in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Then, serve with crushed ice and enjoy!

Don't forget to eat the fruit as soon as you finish your drink! You may, of course, be a little disappointed because the water will have soaked up all the flavour, but you'll still get all the vitamins!
